Royal Lily Flowering Tea: Tea Vivre

It’s a beautiful fall day and I’m loving the jewel-box colours of the city.

Of course, I’m going out for a walk, but first… some tea. I’m choosing this “Royal Lily” because the little picture on the package is the same colour as the trees… looks like Fall!

It starts out a neat little ball with a little peep of yellow showing through. It smells amazing! Strong, sweet, woody, sandalwood, straw, flowers, licorice… wow!

I steep it in a tall glass pot (wishing I had a prettier one to really show off the flower). It opens slowly, revealing a pretty orange lily and marigolds in a bed of Silver Needle Green Tea leaves. It’s beautiful! I let it sit for about 2 minutes while I snap photos, then pour it into cups before it can go bitter. I got 4 teacups out of this pot.

The tea is a pale gold colour and smells sweet like corn syrup and honey. The first sip is soooooooo lovely! It tastes exactly like a red, orange, and yellow fall day should taste! Warm, mellow and smooth with a taste like sweet corn, hay, corn syrup, and something a little bit spicy/ floral in the background.

Got Fall? Got colour? This deliciously sweet tea is the perfect accompaniment!
